NEOA TRIO Day - Proposals for Workshops and Breakout Sessions
We are making changes to TRIO Day this year and inviting membership to submit proposals for workshops and breakout sessions. Please review the attached request for proposals and share this information with your networks and college access partners.
NEOA invites presentation proposals for the 2026 TRIO Day Conference, hosted at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel & Conference Center in Framingham, Massachusetts on February 19-20, 2026. This annual gathering celebrates the achievements of TRIO programs and provides program participants with tools and inspiration to support first-generation and underrepresented students on their paths to higher education and career success.
Conference Theme:
“College and Career Excellence: Resources for Access, Readiness, and Success”
We are seeking engaging, interactive sessions designed for TRIO high school students that focus on:
College Access and Success: Admissions, financial aid, scholarships, and persistence strategies.
Career Readiness: Career exploration, workforce skills, internships, and professional development.
Student Empowerment: Building confidence, leadership, time management, and resilience.
Community and Resources: Highlighting campus, community, and online supports that help students succeed through college graduation.
Audience:
High school students in TRIO programs (Upward Bound, Talent Search, etc.)
Proposal Guidelines:
Sessions should be interactive and student-centered, with practical takeaways and resources.
Presenters may include educators, counselors, college/university professionals, employers, and community organizations.
Sessions will be 60 - 75 minutes in length.
