President Bush's FY 2007 Budget Proposal

NEOA strongly opposes President Bush's proposal to eliminate GEAR UP, TRIO Talent Search and TRIO Upward Bound. His plan would terminate critical academic support services to over 16,000 TRIO participants and over 50,000 GEAR UP participants from across New England. The majority of participants are low-income and first-generation college students. For the latest national information on this situation, visit the Council for Opportunity in Education's website at http://www.coenet.us
