Conference 2010: Hyannis, Cape Cod, MA April 6-9, 2010

Pre-Conference Information

April 6, 2010

In order to meet the needs of our constituency, the NEOA 2010 pre-conference theme will focus on upcoming DOE grant competitions. According to the Department of Education’s website it appears that several competitions will be held at nearly the same time, such as Upward Bound, Educational Talent Search, Educational Opportunity Center and GEAR UP.  

Specific workshops tailored to each individual program on the grant application process as well as grant writing will be held. Workshops will be facilitated by area NEOA professionals. They will share their grant writing expertise and present on the most current information available from DOE including:

• New negotiated regulation
• Current application if available
• Archived application
• Best practices
• In kind documentation
• Budgets & data

The cost for attending the pre-conference workshop is $40 for members and $60 for non-members. The pre-conference workshops will take place Tuesday, April 6th from 2-5 pm.
